Technical Analysis Metrics

Smurf Indicators

The app analyzes up to 1,000 matches for the opponent's current race to calculate a Smurf Score. Each metric contributes to the score. Note: Most metrics require at least 10 relevant matches to be active; otherwise, they contribute a neutral 0.25 points. "Fast games" are defined as matches lasting less than 60 seconds.

  • MMR Delta: The gap between Career Peak MMR and Current MMR.
    • 0 pts: ≤ 300 (Normal variance)
    • 0.5 pts: 301 - 499 (Suspicious gap)
    • 1.0 pt: ≥ 500 (Significant rank tanking)
  • W/L Ratio (Fast Games): Compares instant wins to instant leaves (under 60s).
    • 0 pts: ≥ 0.95 (Opponents leave as often as the player)
    • 0.5 pts: 0.76 - 0.94
    • 1.0 pt: ≤ 0.75 (Player leaves significantly more often than opponents)
  • Duration Ratio: Average Win Duration divided by Average Loss Duration.
    • 0 pts: ≤ 1.3 (Balanced lengths)
    • 0.5 pts: 1.31 - 1.69
    • 1.0 pt: ≥ 1.7 (Wins are long, but losses are very fast)
  • Smurf Losses (%): The percentage of total losses that occurred in under 60 seconds.
    • 0 pts: < 10%
    • 0.5 pts: 10% - 17.5%
    • 1.0 pt: > 17.5% (High frequency of intentional leaves)
  • Mirror Loss %: Loss rate in same-race matches (e.g., ZvZ).
    • 0 pts: ≤ 60%
    • 0.5 pts: 61% - 69%
    • 1.0 pt: ≥ 70% (Indicates dodging specific matchups)
  • Account Maturity: Total career games compared to current MMR.
    • 0 pts: Mature account (e.g., > 500 games)
    • 0.5 pts: New account or fast-climbing high-rank account
    • 1.0 pt: < 100 games on Diamond+ MMR (Extremely suspicious)
  • Unranked Preference: Percentage of matches played in Unranked mode.
    • 0 pts: ≤ 20% (Standard ladder play)
    • 0.5 pts: 21% - 39%
    • 1.0 pt: ≥ 40% (Intentional avoidance of ranked match-making)
